## Transcript

Selena Gomez opens up on her own personal struggles to thousands of teens and kids at this years We Day, California. The Come and Get It singer got emotional discussing the pressure she often feels to look or act a certain way. And I tried to change who I am, because I thought, that others would accept me for it. [ NOISE ] And I realized I don't know how to be anything but myself. We Day is an educational event that supports young people leading local and global change. This was the first We Day California, and several celebrities showed up to help motivate the youth. Gomez posted this pic to Instagram after the event, saying Weday, unbelievable time.

So inspired and hopefully encouraged many. It's been a difficult start to the year for Gomez, who voluntarily spent two weeks in rehab in January, to spend some time on herself. Her on again off again romance with Justin Bieber who's had his own fair share of trouble this year probably hasn't helped matters much. Nonetheless, it appears this 21 year old wanted to pass on a little wisdom, delivering a heart felt speech encouraging the audience to please stay true to yourself. Thanks for watching. I'm Clint Judy.
