## Transcript

If you're familiar with Warren Buffett's company Berkshire Hathaway, you likely know it for one thing. It's a powerhouse investment company. But if the CEO has his way, it could soon be known for a lot more. Specifically, real estate. According to a new report from Financial Times. The 84 year old oracle of Omaha has plans to license the Berkshire Hathaway name to real estate agencies in Europe and Asia which would make Berkshire Hathaway more of a consumer brand than it's ever been. And according to Yahoo finance Canada, Warren Buffett possibly a marketing guru. Of course this isn't the first move Buffett has made in a more consumer direction.

He's already slapped the brands name plate on multiple U. S. holdings, including Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. And as of earlier this month, his first auto dealership, which he plans to rename Berkshire Hathaway Automotive. If you don't happen to be in the investment, house or car markets, though, you might still be interacting with the company's holdings more than you know. For instance. That Heinz Ketchup for your fries, Berkshire owns a 50 percent equity stake in that, your boxer briefs from Fruit of the Loom, Berkshire owns all of those. And that insurance company with a lizard, yep, that's Berkshire, too.

The company owns all of that not too mention Dairy Queen, The Pampered Chef and a string of newspapers. Clearly, Buffett likes to own a stake in a little bit of everything. For sure he wouldn't mind owning a little more as well. We will now own nine and a half companies that would be on the Fortune 500 if individual companies. So that leaves us only 490 and a half to go. [ LAUGH ]
