## Transcript

Sheriff's deputies in Bexar County, Texas will be supplied with additional body cameras after a video surfaced that appears to show police shooting a San Antonio man with his hands in the air. This vote by county officials comes a day after a witness gave the video to KSAT. It appears to show Gilbert Flores facing two deputies and placing his hands in the air Before falling to the ground. The officers were responding to a domestic disturbance report and say Flores was resisting arrest. Now, county officials say they will spend close to $ 1 million to supply the sheriff's department with over 150 body cameras and dashboard cams.

The officials also said as it stands only about eight deputies wear body cameras. Other local governments such as Ferguson Missouri have also turned to body cameras in the wake of high profile police shootings. The federal government has opened an investigation in to the incident in San Antonio to see if Floris's civil rights were violated. Both of the officers involved were placed on administrative leave.
