i probably watch more TV content than I do, a film sometimes. And it's really no difference now, which is great. Like, you see people, like Matthew McConaughey in a TV, on a TV special, or Joanne [ UNKNOWN ], or Nicole Kidman, like their It's not the bastard child of, of, of the business as it once was. And often you know the scripts on the TV are, are far better than the feature films that you read, which as an artist is really exciting and enriching. It's my own initiative. I though we should follow- Thought? Who told you to think? You are in this office to wait for instructions, you don't have license to think.

I feel really lucky because Damages was really part of that renaissance in a way. Like of course it was Sopranos and Six Feet Under which kind of set the bar and Oz way before that. I think we came out the same year as Mad Men. So it's this very, you know, I really remember that and even then doing TV was like a big committment. When I joined the CIA I thought I was going to be this amazing spy and I'm just the same boring person I was before. You play it too safe. I just hear my mom's voice give up on your dreams, Susan. She used to write that in my lunch box. Spy's a [ MUSIC ] Spy movie caper that's funny, so it's like, Paul Feig sort of pushing, he wanted to make a James Bond film, but he knew that they'd never let him direct one, so he wanted to make one like Casino Royale but just funny.

Melissa and I, we just hit it off. What you see, is obviously This bizarre chemistry between us on screen, but off screen, we're, we're actually, we're good mates. [ LAUGH ] Poor little pathetic Susan. My father used to bring people here. Did he also So make you dress like a slutty dolphin trainer? You can't prepare, you know, for what she's gonna say because it's completely spontaneous. Who are you? You want me to have Cagney and Lacey explain it to you? Cagney is gonna come up your **** like a thunderbolt and chew off both of your Swedish meat balls. You gonna cry? I'm not gonna cry. You're crying now!

I'm not! I challenge anyone to do a scene with Melissa McCarthy. not start laughing. You can not plan a career in this business because it's incredibly unpredictable. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I think that's exciting. To not know, to be on the [ UNKNOWN ] of like, you know, not knowing I think is exciting. A little unnerving, but a good Feeling.
