What do you do if you really don't like yours? Well there's this theory like I'm going to take this job and just shove it. Find ways to take this job and love it. You know this is your life, there's no reason so be miserable every day. Some really simple steps but number one. Why don't you try de- cluttering your office? When you start to clear out your office, you're making decisions about your life. This is important to me, this is not important to me. Number 2, raise your hand and ask for new responsibilities. I find the one reason why people don't love their jobs is they're bored. They don't see it, that they're bored, but in fact that's what it's all about, they're bored! Number three, learn something new. See if you can ask your boss if you can take some sort of workplace development program, if there's nothing within your workplace. See if you can sign up for a course outside of work. Once you start learning something, like your brain is alive. It sort of sharpens up everything so I think that these are ways that you sort of get your mojo going again. Is there a point at which you know. You know, you do need to leave. How can you tell the difference between you as a problem or the job? A lot of it as we talked about is boredom or no knowing, you have this sort of dissatisfaction cuz you're no longer getting promoted, or you're not, you feel like you're stuck somewhere. And often that is an internal thing that you're not reaching out, but You know what? Your boss may be a jerk. [ LAUGH ] Your coworkers may make you miserable, and there's nothing you can do. You've got to make a change. So it's something that you know inside yourself. You try these avenues. Take these steps so every day is okay, that you can get through your days and find joy in the moments of the day. But in fact, start building your plan. Make your strategic plan. Be on the QT a little bit, but start investigating where might you move? What are your opportunities? And this involves networking. So, you know, build your plan so you can strategically find a job that you love. Thanks so much for joining us, Carrie.
