Here's the guy in a blue shirt on the internet doing a video about Mother's Day gadgets. He's just gonna talk about random gadgets and slap a Mother's Day tag on and be done with it. Oh, no, no, no. No, no. I'm not gonna do that. I happen to buy gadgets for my mom for every occasion. I will give you great gadgets to buy for your mom based on her level of tech savvy- savviness? Anywho, if she is relatively savvy, she's pretty savvy, I would suggest either an iPad or a netbook. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but do we need to talk about how much you cost to raise? Give an iPad for your mom. She just wants to consume information, maybe you want- she wants to get her email and look at pictures and go, " Oh. That's nice ." Give her a netbook if she actually wants to communicate bi- directionally. You send her some pictures, she looks and just, " Oh great. I'm gonna take your email now ." " These pictures are horrible ." " Your father's doing well ." " We saw your friend the other day ." Now she's a little less tech savvy, but still kinda comfortable working with technology- perfect gift-- Barnes and Noble Nook. It's sold by Barnes and Noble. If you go into a Barns and Noble store with the Nook, you can browse entire books for free while you're in there and if your mom has trouble with the Nook, she can just go to the nearest Barnes and Noble which should be, you know, 5 miles away and they can help her. They're trained to help her with the Nook. And finally if your mom is not tech savvy at all, you should get her a connected digital photo frame. It's perfect. You set it up once, you connect it to whatever online photo sharing service you use- Picasa, Flickr, whatever- and you dump photos into it remotely so your mom can keep it on the kitchen table and walk by it every day and go, " Oh look, new photos. Aren't those nice ?" Don't give your mom something that she's not gonna want. She's not gonna use. She's just gonna give it to your father. And he's got his own day comin' up- like a month. " Mom, I got you an Xbox ." " An Xbox-- is that pornography? I don't really care for pornography, but maybe your father would like it. It's a very nice gesture. I really appreciate it ." " I love this- this is great ." That's why you don't give mom an Xbox.
