## Transcript

My advice for high school students who are freshmen right now. You've got a few more years left before you're going to college. Right now, what you should be doing is, you should be saving. See if you can get a job. Talk to your parents honestly about What you think you want to do, where you think you might want to go to college. If you have any idea right now. Also, I would recommend looking at a Department of Education publication called, the College Preparation Checklist. If you go to studentaid. gov / checklist, it talks about what you the student and the parents need to do. To prepare for college.

It talks about academic preparation and financial preparation. For high school seniors what I would recommend is that if they haven't applied for scholarships, they should definitely look into that right now. There are lots of scholarship searches online. The US Department of Education has one on the studentaid. gov website. It's really crucial when you're applying For scholarships or when you're filling out the free application for federal student aid. To meet those deadlines that the scholarship provider sets. Because if you don't make that deadline you're gonna miss out on that money and then you're that much more likely to have to borrow.
