My wife just told me, " Don't cry, don't cry ", but Marco Rubio makes me cry for joy. >> And as a result he was the most logical figure to be anointed as sort of a golden boy to carry the conservative standard here in the state, particularly for the Tea Party Movement that attached itself to Marco Rubio and used him in many ways as its vehicle to express its dissatisfaction, if not its anger. >> And we make a brave statement that we believe that tonight these results would somehow [ unk ] of the Republican Party. What we are is a second chance. A second chance for Republicans to be what they said they were going to be not so long ago. >> Not just with President Obama but with Florida Governor Charlie Crist who just a year ago was a Republican but was seen by most Republicans, conservative Republicans as far too bipartisan, far too [ unk ], far too pragmatic for their liking, particularly when they felt that the Federal Government had overstepped its bounds with the Federal stimulus which Crist had supported. >> Our nation's headed in the wrong direction and both parties are to blame. And what Americans are looking for desperately are people that will go to Washington DC and stand up for this agenda that's taking us in the wrong direction and offer a clear and genuine alternative. >> We talked about the Tea Party and how it helped Marco. I believe in reality Marco gave a lot of influence to the Tea Party. His message really never changed. He was somebody, a small government, somebody that was poised to really get into that void about what's happening under Obama in this country and he has filled it in an admirable way. >> It is about whether we are going to be the first generation of Americans to leave our children worse off than ourselves, or the next generation that will allow them to inherit what they deserve. >> The reason that he's seen as such a rising star in the Republican Party right now is because he did stick to the conservative direction in a very steadfast manner and it brought him to where he is tonight, being projected the winner to take Florida's open US seat. >> Inherit what we inherited. Give to them whatever generation before us has given to the next. The single greatest nation in all of human history, God bless you.
