## Transcript

Top of the morning to your laddies, my name is Jack [ UNKNOWN ] and this video is going to be a mirror's edge occulars rift video. Now this is a game that I've been wanting to do ever since I heard that occulars rift was coming out. Ever since I heard mention of occulars rift, the first game that came to my head was mirror's edge. The game was absolutely build for this kind of stuff. I tried it a few times. On my own, in my own time, without recording. And, it didn't really work. It kind of made feel sick. I was using a different kind of method to actually implement the 3D into the oculus rift, but this time I've actually found a way that makes me not sick.

It looks good. It's collaborated properly. So, let's get right in and play the game. Well, this is incredible. I just spent the last 10 minutes calibrating everything to make sure it works properly and to get myself accustomed to it. But, this is really nice. There's such a sense of scale. Everything looks good. Let's see what the real Okay. That's gonna take some getting used to. That is weird as ****. No wonder the game made me motion sick before. It wasn't just the calibration it's just that the game is odd. Somebody picked up on the fact that all my Occulus rift I just say everything's odd all the time.

You'd be right, this **** is odd. I'm just doing the first area because it's an area that I know really well. Holy Balzac this is awesome Wow. Okay let's see what it's like to climb walls. Really **** weird. [ LAUGH ] All right kind of makes you go cross- eyed when stuff gets up right in close, right close in front of your face. This is not gonna be good. I told you guys when I was playing the Skyrim video that I don't like heights. Oh, holy Jesus. No, look forward, look forward. Oh, steady yourself, oh. Okay, that's, that's really sickening. When she moves her head on her own. Shut up talking!

**** me. When she moves her head on her own and it's not part of your motion tracking, like when it wretches control away from you, that's really sickening. It really makes you feel ill. Whew. What the. Where am I? Did I mess that up? Of course I did. Good job Jack. climb. Can't climb that. Climb. Climb this. A bit of the problem with the rift is that when stuff gets up really close it starts to it makes you go cross eyed and the image stops looking 3D because your eyes try to focus on it then everything looks really weird. Aw Christ. This is the big jump, you jump down to the pipes. Oh merciful Jesus!

This has bad news written all over it. Oh my God. I'm getting. Do you guys ever get the feeling of the willies? [ LAUGH ] Like, it's gonna sound disgusting when I talk it, but, if you're on like a roller coaster ride and something goes up and then you fall down or you're looking from a big height, you get this feeling like in your **** or your stomach or wherever, that lower region. You kinda get this weird feeling. It's not a good feeling, you'd think it would be if it's in that area. But it's not, it's a weird feeling. And I'm not sure if girls get it or not, or if it's a **** thing. But this is, oh, I just got that feeling from this.

Aah! Oh, thank god you landed that. I kinda had me eyes closed. I wish you guys could see my face properly, my reactions, cuz they're kinda goofy. Whoa! City Eye, what are you doing? You just filming me? Hi. Hi, eye in the sky. What are you doing? Sorry I'm not looking at the camera now. Go away! Yeah, keep flying. You frickin' weirdo! Okay, onward! And you really do need VSync and 60 frames per second or else the image jittery, and it's messed up. Oh, it's only paint. I never noticed that before. Sounds like some blues are headed your way. Sounds like some news chopper tipped them off. This is so damn cool.

I want to invite you guys all over to my house so you can play this, so you can see what it's like and watch the reactions and watch you probably get sick [ LAUGH ] My eyes are getting all f... up. This is not good for my eyesight... I really highly doubt that it is good for your eyesight. Go, go, go, go, up, up... See, this is why I pick this level ´ cause I know the layout of it. I am pretty good at this level. I done it so many times. What! Get up! **** out of the way. Oh oh oh oh oh. [ laughter ]. Move move shut up get out of the way. I'm on a mission. Oh hey guys. Hey buddies. Hey buddies I'm gone.

See you later. Oh. I died. Thank God she doesn't look at the ground. That would have been the worst. Hey! Drop the bag and put your hands where we can see them! Sorry Nope, not gonna do that. Get out of there. Go! Go! Go! You guys are bad at your jobs. I'm not that fast. The wires are going crazy. Get out of there babe. Finish. [ UNKNOWN ] Thank you. You there, Sal? What the hell's happening? I can hear guns. No! Oh, Jesus, that's a bad idea! Hey, drop the bag and put your hands where we can see them! Give me time to react. I just died, and it really felt like I did. Oh, that was That was weird, that was messed up.

Yeah, I do say odd and weird a lot when I'm playing this. There's no other way to describe it, it's such a surreal feeling. You there, Phil? Hey! What the hell's happening. I can hear gunshots [ INAUDIBLE ], and secure it. Okay, we need to build up speed for this one. Aah! Get your **** ready to move. You **** fell again, you ****! You're the worst free runner ever. Hey! Drop the bag and put your hands where we can see them. Oh, explosions. Get the hell out of there. Oh, I messed that up. I pressed the wrong buttons. I'm getting so dizzy! The wires are going crazy. [ MUSIC ] Come on Jack, you can do it this time!

I believe in you. [ NOISE ] Ow my arm, that must hurt. You ok there faith? You guys excited about Mirrors Edge 2? You should be. Yeah! Like a boss! I did it! And, boing! [ NOISE ] In my other Mirror's Edge video, I actually do have a Mirrors Edge video up already doing the exact same level. I had a Mario jump sound in there, didn't I? Up! Move ahead. You're going to have to control it. Oh, hey, give me your gun. Give me your gun. Aah! I don't know what's going on, I can't see. [ NOISE ] This does not make aiming any easier. [ NOISE ] Aah, ****! Ran out of bullets. Okay. I thought that that was gonna be so easy.

I thought aiming with this thing would be so much better. It's not. I hate it. Because my head moves along with the mousing. Cutscenes are messed up. Good throw. Cutscenes the best thing to do during cutscenes is to just keep your head steady because they take control away from you. [ NOISE ] and you can't see, you can't turn your head You've got to get off that roof Hello Mr. chopper freind again, oh thank god [ NOISE ] don't look down whatever you do don't look down over we're going to skip that I dont know why I keep putting my hand here oh Oh well I can't see that. Gonna have to do this. This kind of thing is gonna happen.

Is this the right thing? is this the right mission? Yeah. Oh Almost there Oh I'm getting that feeling again! Don't look down! Oh my God you ****! Stop it! OK I'm gonna see if I can figure out [ INAUDIBLE ] Oh my God. I thought Skyrim was bad with the **** height thing. OK because I'm afraid of heights, if I even stand on like a high wall, if I stand on a high wall and look straight up into the sky that makes me feel even more That makes me feel higher than I actually am. Oh! Oh! I wish you guys could see my legs! My legs keep twitching and flinching every time I go over the edge of something. This is definitely the best game design for this.

Well, not design for it, but I really hope [ UNKNOWN ] has native support for the [ UNKNOWN ] rift cause this is so good. [ UNKNOWN ]. The thing im noticing about. Oh! You stupid ****! Yup. Falling for ball of bones and blood. The thing im noticing about the rift is that It doesn't exactly make you better at a game. I thought when I got the thing that it would actually make me better at some games, it would make me more aware of the environment, I would understand the environment a bit more. I have no idea what's going on right now. But it doesn't, in fact it makes you worse at games. Can you seriously not climb that?

I have no idea how high it is. Oh, well. I didn't need to **** do that anyway. So I have to go this way. Boing. Here we go. Bounce off this one because it didn't work last time. Boing. Atta girl! You're a **** genius, Faith! This is so disorienting. Stuff keeps popping up in front of my face, it's making me cross- eyed. Hup, hup. I am a genius. The best there ever was. Finally someone who could actually make a difference. Oh christ I have to go down there don't I? I remember it from my last video. It took me forever to figure out where I was going. Climb. Oh you better make it. Make it you hairy ****.

Oh my ankle's shattered into a million bits. Good job faith that's exactly what I wanted I wanted to know what it felt like to fall from a considerable height and land without rolling. I just realized, I haven't been using the actual head tracking a lot because I've been using my mouse to look around. Ding. Elevator please. Penthouse. Oh I can't read that. See, this is something with the Oculus Rift that I try to convey to people, is that it's much blurrier than you guys actually think. I can't actually read this. An editorial by mayoral candidate Robert Pope. I can't read the small writing. So, I don't know if that's actually the rift itself, because the resolution is so low, or because my calibration sucks.

It's probably my calibration, so any of you who do have an Oculus Rift, if any you do, in the comments, please let me know if that's the way you guys are seeing things too. Leave me alone! [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] What is that? That's sexism. I'm just a poor little girl. [ MUSIC ] **** now where do I go. No. I thought tab was to figure out. That was it. Oops. Forgot all the buttons. There's a window here, isn't there. Take that glass window, you big glass ****. Are you guys still after me? Run. What else would you do, that's all you've been doing the whole game. Okay, I'm not gonna lie, I'm starting to feel a bit sick now.

Oh, I forgot where to go, I forgot where to go, I forgot where to go. Do I go up here, don't I? Oh, how do I get up, do I just climb? I can! Yep, definitely feeling sick now. Climb up! You're not a girl! You're doing your country proud, Faith! I don't know what country this is supposed to be, probably America. I can't see anything. Okay. Aah! [ NOISE ] Ow. Where am I? What's happening? I'm getting shot. It's all right, though. Out the window. Out the door, I mean, that's a door, not a window. Oh, Christ. This part isn't gonna be nice. Oh my holy god. Oh do not hit the ground. [ LAUGH ] Oh, Jesus.

You guys have no idea what this is like. It's so cool. Too high! Sorry Faith, I know you were very fond of those legs of yours. Baca! Oh no it's the Po Po! Oh I can't look up there. Oh! What's happening? Jump! Oh, sparks flying in front of my eyes! Oh, I'm scared! Stop it! Leave me alone! I know it's not playing around I can see the sparks, I can hear the bullets. There already **** telling me stuff I know. Sitting in your office like a big prick. Stop! Stop it! Leave me alone you big flying ****. Aah! [ INAUDIBLE ] Get! I'm going to go to your office, I'm going to find where you work and I'm going to strangle you.

Telling me to run. What do you think I've been doing for the last half hour. Where do I go? Where do I go? Over here where the big blue steps are. I don't even know why they're after me, I forget this game. Ow that's my body you're shooting. I'd very much like it if I could keep my blood inside my body. It's very at home there. You're back. This video has just turned into me just screaming! Isn't all videos of me just screaming? Okay, okay, hey dudes. I'm going this way. yeah I remember this. Wha? You can't see me, can't see me, I'm like a mouse. A mouse in the house. Ha, see you later ****. Okay, I'm gonna stop this video here because I'm starting to feel.

Really, really fricking sick. Oh my god. You just have to get back out and adjust your eyes and the cable, just get off me. **** cables everywhere. I need a bigger workspace. I need a bigger workbench. Is my hair okay? Is my hair good? Good lord, it's not. Aah! Yeah, you really just need to sit down, relax, adjust your eyes again. It feels like my eyes are just pointing like this the whole time when I'm recording Oculus Rift videos, but. That was awesome! That was so good, that was so much fun. I might go back and do more Mirror's Edge if you guys really liked this video. I have a feeling you will because that surreal.

That was really, really nice. I will be doing more off [ UNKNOWN ] videos. I actually have plans to record Dishonor today. So, hopefully that goes up after this one. Whenever these do go up. Probably tomorrow. But, I don't know why I tell you guys this It's because it's all a changed around when ever they do go up. But let me know what other games you guys would like to see. Some of you were saying you play Fall Out. I only have New Vegas and I'd have to re- download it again and it would take me like a day and a half to actually download it straight. So I don't know if I'll be able to do that.

If I can, I will but don't hold your breath or anything for a Fall Out video. Let me know some other games you guys would like to see. Any of you who are friends with me on Steam, just, or any of you who aren't, check me out jackseppsguy on Steam, you should be able to find me. You will see my list of games that I have there, so you can kind of browse them and see what games you'd like to see with the Oculus Rift because so far, everything seems to work with it. But, be wary that only first person games really kind of work with it. Third person games really make you disoriented. The make you feel sick because you don't feel like your in the control of the character.

Your head movements control the camera when you're in third person, so it's really difficult to try to record that stuff. But anyway, enough bullshitting, enough talking Jack. Thank you guys so much for watching this video. If you liked it punch that Like button up the **** like a boss! And high fives all around. But thank you guys and I will see you on the news. Aah! I don't care I'm not fighting him, I'm not fighting him, I'm running, I'm running. Dont. Stop shooting my ****. All I am is a **** free runner. Why you shooting me? [ NOISE ] I like my skin where it is. I like my bones in tact. I'm very fond of my blood.

No time to be free running, just run. Run towards the chopper. Head to the chopper. [ NOISE ]
