The best financial advice I ever received was from my dad, who said, honey, keep your burn rate less than your earn rate and never forget that. My name is Christine Romans, I am CNN's chief business correspondent, and I just wrote a new book called Smart is the New Rich: Money Guide for Millennials. The best financial advice that I give is I take again people at work right over sit down at the computer, log on sign in to the 401K and push them to really give until it almost hurts so that from the very very beginning they are investing a lot in their 401K. And to a person they have thanked me saying that They couldn't believe after just a couple of years that they were starting to build wealth.
