## Transcript

I mean, you could really do anything. I mean, except tell the country who to vote for, but it's okay. You'll get the next time. If there is one. Thank you so much to the Golden Globes for celebrating our film and honoring the women of Emilia Perez. Thank you so much. I never thought I'd be so happy to be called a hack. But, uh, no, I mean, I have I have the most brilliant show runners. The first ever acknowledgment I got as an actor was a Golden Glob nomination when I was basically a kid. And so that meant a lot. And so this has a special place. And now it's, like, the best date night that my wife and I ever have.

So Wow. So maybe you don't know me. So, I'm an actor from Japan. And my name is Tatano Basano. Wow. Well, Jeremy Allen White could not be here tonight, so I'm gonna accept this award on his behalf. You know, I come from San Francisco, and that's where I started doing stand up, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all the stage time that I got there. And the Golden Globe goes to Emilia Perez. Netflix Grand I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it. Maybe I was complete, maybe I would I've done what I was supposed to do. And as I was at kind of a low point, I had this magical, bold, courageous, out of the box, absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called the substance.

And the universe told me that you're not done. And I am so grateful to Corley for trusting me.
