[ MUSIC ] It depends, it depends on the kind of information that you're trying to convey, but it also depends on the signals you've received from your boss in the past. So, give yourself this first reality check. Has your boss ever texted you? Then it's probably okay for you to text back. You know, has- Does your boss provide their cellphone as an emergency contact? Then you know that, that number is out there. Now it's not always okay to text certain information. So for example, you wanna stay away from texting very sensitive information. Is there sensitive financial information has a deal fallen through.

Is there gossip? Don't do it. Don't text that information. You also want to treat work texts differently than your personal texting. When you're personally texting, you might rapidly go back and forth, and have a big conversation. Keep it short, keep it immediate, and keep it relevant when you're texting with your boss. I mean it's just the reality of today, everybody texts. But whether you should do it with your boss or not, really depends on your boss and the information. [ MUSIC ]
