## Transcript

Good afternoon, distinguished members of the Android tablet manufacturing community. I just have a brief statement and then I'm happy to field any questions. unfortunately, Acer has decided to manufacture an Android tablet running the latest software and very competitive specs and features, and they've priced it at 450 dollars. [ NOISE ] I know. I know we had this unwritten rule that we were going to purposely price ourselves out of competition. We were going to do things like tie our tablets into cellular carriers for some reason, so. Consumers had to buy into a two year contract in order to get a decent price but unfortunately Acer has decided to buck the trend and compete.

So, we've got some problems. Fortunately Google's been helpful in making sure that the Android 3. 0 Honeycomb software is still rough around the edges and the Android market does not have a lot of tablet specific apps yet, so we've got that going for use. That'll buy us a little time. The tablet is a little bit heavy. It's 1. 7 pounds, which is heavier than even the first iPad. But, other than that, things are not looking good. This thing's got a 10. 1 inch screen. It's got a dual- core 1 Gigahertz Tegra 2 processor, an entire Gigabyte of RAM, 16 Gigabytes of onboard storage. That storage is unfortunately expandable by, memory cards.

And it's got HDMI output. And the two cameras; front facing, rear facing cameras, both actually better than the iPad2 cameras. So, very unfortunate, and unlike Apple products Acer products do get discounted from time to time so I, we, I just want to warn you we may see this tablet priced at, you know four hundred dollars or three hundred fifty dollars. [ SOUND ] Acer Iconia Tab A500. Best Buy only April 24th. 450 but as I said might go on sale so. I could take any questions now, any questions at all. That finger is not a question. That's rude. I'm just. Don't kill the messenger.
