He wants funding for his wall. Five billion was a great downpayment. But as witnessed by recent events, we need border security. And we need people to understand the legal way to come to the country through one of those 26 ports of entry or through the system by which 33 million people have been able to immigrate. To this country legally, and I would just say, the last time that government was shut down earlier this year, or late last year, that was the Democrats who shut the government down, and they turned around very quickly because they realized that they were compromising a lot of the benefits and the spending priorities. We're trying to get the President The money he would like for the wall, that's part of the year end funding discussion which is ongoing, not only among the appropriators, but with the administration as well, and we are hoping that's one of the many things that we've gotta rap up here at the end of the year. Ansd we are for strong border security, we'd made numerous proposals. Number two The $ 1. 6 billion for border security negotiated by Democrats and Republicans is our position. We believe that is the right way to go. Third, if there's any shut down, it's on President Trump's back. At the end of the day, we still have a legal way to come into this country. And there's millions of people that are waiting and playing by the rules. To do it the right way. And so if a few thousand say well we just wanna ignore America's loss, storming while attacking law enforcement in the process. Is that really something that we wanna allow as Americans. I'm glade that President Trump is following through on his committment to keep this country safe.
