## Transcript

The Los Angeles Clippers disgraced owner Donald Sterling has prostate cancer. This, according to several reports. Sources confirm to both ESPN and New York Post that the 80 year old banned owner has been battling the disease for years. One source told the Post, some of the medication Sterling has been taking for the cancer has made his face puffier and that, they thought he would die two years ago. Clippers player Blake Griffin and Chris Paul told reporters Thursday night, they had no idea Sterling was sick. If that is true, you know, my thoughts and prayers are with him. I mean, nobody deserves to go through something like that.

Yeah. That's, that's the first I've ever heard of that. And that's, that's truly unfortunate. But not everyone was sympathetic with Sterling on social media. Earlier this week, Sterling was officially banned from the NBA and fined a league maximum $ 2. 5 million by commissioner Adam Silver after TMZ released audio of Sterling making racist remarks to his girlfriend. ABC reports the NBA's Advisory Committee held its first meeting about Sterling on Thursday, during which it agreed to move forward on the process of forcing a sale of the Clippers. This means they're one step closer to terminating Sterling's 33 year long ownership of the team for good.

The advisory committee is expected to reconvene some time next week. I'm Cliff Judy.
