[ MUSIC ] It's a nine month event we're on twenty- four seven on the water and sometimes we are twenty twenty- five Days in a row in the water. [ MUSIC ] You just have a very, very small boat that's used with. Huge wind and you're just on a tiny nutshell in the middle of nowhere. The only thing where you can rely on is your own team. It's a very wet job. It's, when we're sailing faster than 13, 14 knots, there's water on the deck all the time. We don't shower. We sleep very irregular. Definitely like a bit of a drug [ UNKNOWN ] I think this one is where I see people say, I will never again and then suddenly you find yourself coming back.

The is that you just get to rise everyday. [ MUSIC ]. [ MUSIC ] It just gets hard because you're watching your teammates work, and the first few days I couldn't move at all, so I was almost hindering the boat. I couldn't really get on deck. I mean that leg was tough, it was relentless. And I sort of slowly watched my watch partner, Louie, get more and more tired as he had to do more as I wasn't on deck. Yeah, felt really guilty. I can't stay below anymore. Five, four, three. Two, one, [ SOUND ]. If you're coming anywhere close to any coastal areas, Australia, now here to China and Hong King, it's just devastating because there's just rubbish in the water everywhere.

You get tears in your eyes from it [ MUSIC ] We were sailing in an area where there was hardly any breeze and at night time I was just looking up and I just saw the stars, the million of stars that are out there. Just tip myself on the shoulder say you're a fortunate man. You can do this. And there you have it. [ MUSIC ]
