Let me go militant. Viola became the first black actress to receive an Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Drama at the Emmys earlier this month. The only thing that separates women of color From anyone else it's opportunity. And she received a ton of support for her speech. Kerry Washington recently told Vanity Fair, it's so important to be a woman and to be a person of color and embody characters that are fully human because it validates our experience. Viola's big win obviously made up for losing a contest when she was six. She told Jimmy the loss literally dictates my life. Do you remember who won that competition?
