After the success of the hit show America's Got Talent, there are now over 48 countries that have a Got Talent show. [ SOUND ] With over 17, 000 islands and 740 different languages, the diversity within Indonesia enriches the culture, but it has also led to conflict in recent years. Indonesia Got Talent, is one of the show that actually is needed for Indonesians now. We can actually show to the Indonesian viewers these guys come from different part of Indonesia. They're probably, you know, come from different religions because religions is very, still very important in Indonesia. Sakti Parantean came to the show earlier in the year and auditioned over 13, 000 people from across the islands. Indonesian people are very excited to watch, because it's about everyday people trying to reach their dreams. [ FOREIGN ] One of the contestants, Eida Eiyu combines traditional Balinese dancing with western ballet. She practices tirelessly. [ MUSIC ] Eida Eiyu has been training for eight years. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to perform well for her, and for her mother. [ MUSIC ] [ FOREIGN ]. Rama performs extravagant card tricks and learned his trade by watching videos on Youtube. It is really exciting. [ FOREIGN ] Doudes day job is working to stop the violence on the streets of Indonesia. But by night, he is a hopeless romantic. Our group name is [ INAUDIBLE ]. We dance to pop but we mix it with traditional dance from Indonesia. This competition so important [ INAUDIBLE ]. Indonesians have a lot of access to western pop culture. And young people are embracing it. MTV is popular as are American hits like High School Musical and Glee. In Indonesia all of, all of the people in Indonesia watch us. So, I think we are so nervous right now. Many of the contestants still hold their fate in God's hand on the big night. Votes are tallied until the last minute. Some of the contestants will be voted off, while others get to go on to the finals. [ SOUND ] We pray of course. We depend on all of the results to God. We hope for the best. Finally the results are announced. Doudes goes onto the finals with a record of SMS's. Most credit his extensive network of colleagues in the police force. [ INAUDIBLE ] [ SOUND ] Unfortunately, the yoyo player isn't so lucky. But, [ INAUDIBLE ] gets to go on. It's down to the last two contestants. Only one will go on to the final. [ MUSIC ] 15 minutes pass as they wait up on stage for the final results. The producers decide that Eida Eiyu is too young to take all the pressure alone, and the tension of the moment brings the judges to tears. [ SOUND ] [ FOREIGN ] [ SOUND ] Eida Eiyu goes onto the final. A TV finale premiered to many throughout the world, but a show still uniquely Indonesian.
