July 31st isn't only Harry Potter's thirty- fifth birthday, but it's also author J. K. Rowling's fiftieth. So we're breaking down the top three ways people are celebrating Rowling's and the boy wizard's birthdays. The number three spot on our list goes to birthdaymischief. com This site is a map of edible treats inspired by Harry Potter locations. It's got everything, like Platform 9 3 / 4 to Hagrid's brother Grawp hanging out in the forbidden forest. Those cakes kind of blow Hagrid's skills out of the water. Thank You. Another way people are celebrating Rowling's birthday is by donating to her cleverly named charity Lumos.

The project provides aid to children and orphanages or other institutions. Plus if you donate through the Light Up Jo ` s Birthday fundraiser, you could win some cool Harry Potter related prizes. But the number one spot on our list has to go to drunk and depressed Ron Weasley stopping by the Tonight Show. Ron, is everything okay? It's just that Harry is, it's just always Harry. Harry this and Harry that. That's actor Simon Pegg spoofing Harry's best friend, who is apparently kind of a mess now that he's out of Hogwarts. No, no, no. Ron, Ron, Ron, Ron, no.
