After an awe and three world cup, the jokes and metaphors about Cameroon taking a fall in Brazil were probably inevitable, but it's possible it wasn't a joke. After a convicted match, fixer meets some remarkable accurate productions. Even Cameroon's own soccer governing body Says it will investigate. The German Magazine Der Spiegel says before Cameroon's four nothing loss to Croatia on June 18th, the match fixer sent the magazine a Facebook message predicting the loss, score and that a Cameroon player would get a red card in the first half. Alexander Song fulfilled that prediction by flagrantly elbowing one of the Croatian players, who had his back to Song.

The match- fixer Wilson Raj Perumal said, Cameroon has, quote, seven bad apples on the team. Cameroon's governing body for soccer noted FIFA had not contacted them, but is asking its own ethics committee to investigate. In a statement released Monday, it wrote the existence of seven bad apples in our national team, do not reflect the values and principles promoted by our administration, in line with FIFA Code of Conduct and the ethics of our nation. While Cameroon's World Cup performance was short, even an accusation of match fixing is likely to sting for awhile. Cameroon, Nigeria, and Ghana, all African nations, received attention ahead of the 2014 World Cup games, over pay and bonuses.

Players said they were promised, Ghana's team even contemplated a strike, until the country's president had his private plane deliver the players $ 3 million in cash. The BBC reports to this point, there is no evidence to support a match fixing conspiracy, aside from Perumal prediction and the team's poor play. The network reported senior betting industry officials, said there's been no suspicious activity surrounding the bets in Cameroon's games, or any other this World Cup. This marks just the latest corruption allegation related to FIFA and soccer's biggest stage. The New York Times obtained FIFA's investigative report on match fixing which showed as many as 15 games leading up to the 2010 World Cup, were influenced, by gamblers.

FIFA also now faces intense scrutiny, over the awarding of the 2022 World Cup games to Qatar. Besides bribery accusations to lend the games, media outlets like ESPN documented what human rights advocates call, modern day slavery.
