## Transcript

[ MUSIC ] I'm Tim Junjin, and i'm the founder of Carolina fun machines. Well Carolina fun machines is primarily is a. A dealer for scooters and dirt bikes and motorcycle's and go carts and all kinds of fun items that young children and adults would be interested in buying. I, I went to work for IBM right out of college in 1973, I was with IBM probably five years and then. This new wave came along called minicomputers from Digital Equipment Corporation. And so I went over and rode that wave for a number of years. And then this thing came out called PCs, Compaq and IBM. And I went and rode that wave for quite a few years.

And then, Sun Microsystems and HP came out with this Unix type equipment. And I went and rode that wave for a number of years so, although I was in the industry about 35 years in the computer industry it was with different companies that, were the leaders in technology at that time. When I retired from the computer industry, my wife had 5 years left to retire as a teacher and. And frankly I told her that if I sat around for five years and did nothing until she retired, she'd come home and find me dead and it would be self inflicted. So she told me to go to something that would be fun. And she said also that she wanted to get a scooter to ride back and forth to school.

And its kinda funny, we started to look at scooters for her and a light went on in the back of my head. And I put together a business plan. And after about three months I said, honey, I think I know what I want to do. And I went over it with her. And she said, that's a great idea. And I, I started it. But the first five or six months I thought I had done the stupidest thing in my life. And then for some reason it just started to turn and, my first year I set a goal of 100 scooters and we ended up at about 120 scooters. The second year I set the goal at 200, and we ended up at 340 something scooters, and now we're moving at somewhere between four to 500 units.

[ INAUDIBLE ] a year. [ MUSIC ]
