## Transcript

For your late night highlight, David Letterman revealed why he's eager to step down as host of The Late Show. I'll tell you something. I, I, I can't wait for it to happen, because I am sick and tired of people saying, whoa wha -, what are you gonna do? Yeah. What are you gonna do? I have no idea what I'm gonna do. Letterman told Late Late Show, guest host, Regis Philbin, he doesn't have any post retirement plans just yet. But Letterman admitted he's never really planned anything in his life and he's done all right so far. Hopefully that pattern will continue for the season late night host. But whatever he decides to do, Letterman told Oprah in 2013 he doesn't have any regrets about his time behind the late show desk.

I will miss doing what I'm doing but I won't feel like I have left anything on the table. Well one thing's for sure, we'll definitely miss David Letterman after his final late show appearance May 20th.
