An aspiring personal trainer from Pennsylvania has died from septic shock just days after experiencing flu symptoms. Kyler Baughman, an athletic 21 year old from Latrobe, Pennsylvania had a runny nose and looked run down when he visited his family just before christmas on December 23, this is accordingly to his mother Beverly Baughman Beverly told Pittsburgh news station, WPXI, quote, I think he thought I just got the flu, I'll be alright. I'll just go rest a little bit. A mover at a local furniture store and an employee of Walmart, Kyler returned to see his family on Christmas night, went to work the following morning, but had to leave early due to his deteriorating health.

His fiance tells WPCI that Carla, was coughing, and said that his chest hurt at the time, with his coughing worsening and fever rising Carla went to the On December 27th and less than 24 hours he was dead from organ failure septic shock caused by influenza, that's according to Carla's mother Kyler's parents said they believe their son did not receive his flu shot this season. According to CDC, the vaccination can lessen the chance of someone catching the flu by 10 to 60 %. The CDC said most people who get the flu virus will recover in less. Less than 14 days, but up to 650, 000 deaths occur annually from respiratory diseases associated with seasonal flu.

Just ten 10 years ago that estimate it was much lower, around 250, 000 to 500, 000. The CDC says this spike in cases Highlights the importance of prevention. Despite their grief Kyler's parents are speaking out to when others about how to respond to flu symptoms. Kyler's father Todd Baughman saying" don't let things go whenever you have a fever for multiple days. Don't let it go, get it taken care of. Great advice of course our thoughts and prayers go out to that family at this tough time.
