## Transcript

DC Comics celebrates 75 years of Batman with a new picture of Ben Affleck as the caped crusader. The photo was released at San Diego Comic Con and features a Batman more akin to Christian Bale's than George Clooney's. Which is definitely a good thing. DC comics displayed the photo in a mosaic montage wall dedicated to 75 years of the super hero. And though this definitely has us excited for the upcoming film. Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice. This is just a teaser compared to the first glimpse we got of Affleck as Batman. Zack Snyder, who's directing Batman Versus Superman, tweeted this black and white snapshot of the actor in full costume standing beside a Batmobile.

Reminiscent of Bale's Tumblr from the Dark Knight trilogy. Affleck joked on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon early on about the harsh criticism he faced from fans doubtful of his ability to fill the character's shoes. Very tough. So I saw the announcement, I looked on this thing. I look at the first comment. Just like. Ben Affleck's gonna be Batman. The first one just goes no. [ LAUGH ] And despite attempts at building hype with teaser pics fans still seem to be torn about whether or not Affleck is right for the part. But we'll all have the chance to decide for ourselves when Batman versus Superman hits theaters in 2016.

Thanks for watching. I'm Lauren Solomon
