And that's something in the 2016 campaign, the average voter needs to really demand. End. [ MUSIC ] One of the biggest sticking points right now is what the United States is supposed to do with Iraq. But, I don't wanna put the cart before the horse. We don't have a strategy yet. We don't yet have a complete strategy. There's no question that ISIS is an And it threatens the United States. There's also no question that it threatens the United States much less than it threatens many countries in the world including key allies of the United States, many of whom are willing to do very, very little to actually fight ISIS themselves. So it's not just a question of do we think ISIS just as bad in isolation, where we'd like them gone. It's a question of are we prepared to actually bare the cost that would be required to remove Isis from the scene and here I think it's the options really is we're going to put troops on the. The ground. It's gonna be more than 10, 000. It's gonna take a very long time. It's gonna cost a lot of money, Americans are gonna die. But you're gonna really own the problem, you're gonna lead it, you're gonna get as many allies to support you as you possibly can. Second possibility, is you say, you know what, we're not gonna destroy ISIS. I know that's been the goal, we're gonna give up on that. We're gonna contain ISIS, And we'll contain it by continuing to provide air support, but we understand that there are gonna be set backs, there are gonna be losses. The Islamic state is gonna have to basically spend itself out over a long time. We're not retaking Mosul itself, and we're probably not rebuilding the Iraqi army. They're gonna have to do a lot of that, and the Iranians will ultimately take over most of what Iraq looks like. The third possibility, we're leaving, and Iraq is gonna get partitioned. And we'll work with the Kurds because they're our friends, and they will increasingly go independent, and the Iranians .. onions will be in Shea territory and the Sunni territory will either be ISIS or it will be a failed area that others, including the Saudis and local Iraqi Sunnis will be fighting in and we don't like that, but it's not our problem. Ultimately, the worst thing we can do In our international policy, is to talk tough and not follow up. If we're not capable of following through, or if we're not willing to follow through. Then we have to start saying that.
