And for Number one, we selected Princeton over UCLA in 1996 and Pete Carril's last game, Princeton beat UCLA 43- 41, full disclosure. I was a member of that team. Member is kind of a kind adjective; I was actually a benchwarmer on the team in 1996, so you could say I'm very biased in naming us number one. >> And I sat down with my old coach Pete Carril to catch up and to have him walk us through this upset. >> The one thing I think that we've always done in getting ready for a big game is to try to control the tempo of the game with your offense as it was a very good shooting team. >> Chris Doyle, a senior who Carril was so mean to and was so hard on, he had a three which kind of just calmed everybody down. >> I've always felt you'd never lose, we had never lost games in a first quarter till I hit a nice shot. >> First half comes to a close. UCLA is only up one, 19- 18. The crowd is starting to get into our favor. In the second half, the crowd in totally in our favor. >> And of course, with-- if you're the underdog as we have been in the NCAA, it's at the home site of the team you're playing, but fans are-- start rooting like crazy for Princeton. >> Princeton is trailing 41- 34, again, its like okay, UCLA's going to win this, but then there's a steal, there's a three point shot, there's a lay- up and, holy cow, its 41- 41, and the place is going nuts. We have the ball. The game is tied, we are gonna get the last shot and we might win this thing. >> Somewhere between 23 or 30 seconds left, 31 seconds left, somebody suggested, let's try the-- the play that got us a lay- up the first half, the backdoor of our high post sets, he said, but we might not get it the first time, but we might get it the second time, and so that's exactly what-- >> Right, right. >> We didn't get it the first time, and when we retreated to the baseline outside, then the guy said, well alright, relax just a little bit. And then we got it. >> So there's a few seconds left, and they inbounded to Tobey Bailey in the corner, kind of could see Bailey go off in the corner and you're thinking this guy can make shots. He was a star of the Final Four the year before, and all of a sudden there is an airball, and it's, oh my God moment. And you know, everybody, we just all ran out. >> When the shot went in, I mean I've seen myself every March jumping up and down like a fool.
