## Transcript

You know, I live in Los Angeles. I wasn't planning to be here tonight, but Marissa Myers said I had to come in. [ LAUGH ] And she's very influential oh, by the way, are we really that influential? I mean, I've been sitting here thinking about it and the truth is, Time tricked us into coming here, so we can have dinner with the people who buy ads in their magazine. [ LAUGH ] During the Knicks game, too, by the way. Can we get that up on the screens? Nothing against the row. But this is a, there is a group of people who are, are, are, some of who are represented here tonight, who I believe are even more important than the politicians, the astronauts, activists, humanitarians.

Maybe even more important than the doctors who are working on a cure for cancer and HIV. And that is comedians. [ LAUGH ] People like people like Lina Dunn. And where is Lina, the the kid genius. [ SOUND ] Is so funny and so honest and who taught me not to be ashamed of my own breasts. [ LAUGH ] To you Lina. Thank you, Jimmy. To Lena Dunham. And I also wanna Bassem Youssef, where is Bassem? There. And his eyebrows. So prominent. This is a man who, he undersold it, who risks his life to bring laughter to his country. And I will say I would just move. [ LAUGH ] But, and you're welcome to stay with me if you don't wanna go back.

[ LAUGH ] Thank you Jimmy. [ FOREIGN ] [ SOUND ] To my friend Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy is probably a bigger influence on me than anyone in this room, because he's so talented and energetic that he, he forces me to be the best that I can be. Quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass. [ LAUGH ] I would appreciate if you slowed down a little. But I want to I love him, and I want to toast my future rival, Jimmy Fallon, who is getting me very very drunk. Thanks Justin, I think a little of your wine will be good for my DNA, I also want to toast, maybe the funniest guy in this room. Maybe the funniest of all of us.

Vice President, Joe Biden. [ LAUGH ]. [ UNKNOWN ]. Remember that time, he told everyone the President supported gay marriage, before the President had a chance to? [ LAUGH ] That was hilarious. See that's influential. [ LAUGH ] Thank you. To Vice President Joe Biden [ SOUND ]. Thank you. You know, influence is a tough thing to put a finger on. Right now we have it. And later tonight we will be, under it. [ LAUGH ] But, thanks to shivas and [ LAUGH ] I just want to you know, there are good influences and there are bad influences and to all of you I want to make a toast. Thank you Jimmy. [ LAUGH ] To being a good influence.

To all of you. [ NOISE ] Goodnight, everybody! We can all go home, right? [ LAUGH ] Oh, it's, there's more? Okay. Alright. I'm gonna sit down.
