>> Just one day after Uganda President Yoweri Museveni signed an anti- gay bill criticized worldwide. One of the country's biggest newspapers claimed to out 200 homosexuals.

>> Todays newspaper report outs people who previously did not identify themselves as gay. The new legislation would punish people with up to life imprison if they engage in gay sex.

>> Red Pepper published the list under the headline exposed, though the list doesn't appear to be published in the tabloid's online edition. Ugandan lesbian activist Kasha Jacqueline and who was named in the list responded on Twitter, " The media witch hunt is back ". President Museveni previously said he would not sign Uganda's anti- gay legislation if there was evidence homosexuality was genetic instead of a choice. He did an interview with CNN shortly after signing the bill, the reporter noting the move would be hugely popular politically.

>> Do you personally dislike homosexuals?

>> Of course, they are disgusting. I never knew what they were doing. I've been told recently that what they are doing is terrible.

>> This isn't the first time a Ugandan tabloid published a list to out homosexuals. Another Ugandan tabloid " Rolling Stone" listed 100 names some with pictures in 2010 with a graphic reading, hang them. Gay rights activist David Kato was beaten to death only 3 months later. Anti- gay sentiment is widespread in Uganda with a pure research study from last year showing 96 percent of Ugandans believe society should not accept homosexuality. The documentary " God Loves Uganda" sends a Boston priest under covered a film American evangelicals preaching in Africa. Film makers say the evangelicals have heavily influenced anti- gay movement there.

Along with life imprisonment for gay sex, the new law says anyone who performs same sex marriage ceremonies can also be imprisoned for 7 years. I'm Cliff Judy.
