## Transcript

Welcome to the PageCast. It's Tuesday, August 12th. I'm Mark Halperin in Gotham City with your three things to watch for in politics today. First, the Obama campaign filling the void with their candidate away on vacation announcing an effort to recruit Republicans to support Obama, this could be a big effort to change the dynamic of the race or it could inspire conservatives and the Republicans to rally around McCain. Watch the dynamic there. Second, John McCain in Pennsylvania, again a key state, he was there yesterday, also during an interview with FOX News Channel. Watch to see what news comes out of that.

And finally on the deep stakes, both candidates' efforts are in progress. We may well see an announcement from Obama sooner than some people think, but watch to see today whether any news comes out about any of the prospects and as people get a sense on both sides of whose actually under consideration. Watch to be-- watch to see today whether any group or individuals speaks out on behalf of or against anyone who's allegedly under deep consideration. Those are your three things to watch for in politics today. You can get all the political news all the time right here on The Page. For now in Gotham City, I'm Mark Halperin.

Thanks for watching the PageCast.
