## Transcript

[ MUSIC ] We asked people on the streets of New York if they ever used their college's career and employment office. Here's what they told us. Not much. [ LAUGH ] Like, to be honest. It was Oklahoma University, so I'm sure they did. I didn't, I didn't use it. I'm sure they did, but I never. I took advantage of that myself. I was part of the career developmental center. Kids were coming in uncertain about their future. It gave them the opportunity to do a lot of research and really, sorta target what's a high interest for you. I have never been in the actual office. A lot of people have come to our classes or, my classes.

And I've talked about. And it was, actually, interesting information and I found it helpful. I actually like, haven't gone there, but I've checked out some of the web sites and it is helpful just to see like different career opportunities. I didn't, wouldn't say that they were extremely helpful, no. They did help out like with the resumes and practicing for your interviews, etc. But yeah, I wouldn't say that they were. extremely helpful knowing. They helped me get the internship in between my third year of university. They would help us with resumes or help us like, do online portfolios that we could then use for when we apply to jobs.

So, it was helpful. No I didn't really use it because I was busy, you know I was busy doing things. They did set up interviews and You know, set up plans to, kinda streamline the process, and direct me toward the direction I wanted to go.
