So, what happened between Solange Knowles and Jay- Z. That's what pretty much everyone is asking after TMZ posted this 3 minute video seemingly of the duo getting into a physical altercation. Solange appears to kick, punch, and scream at her brother- in- law. Solange's sister and Jay's wife, Beyoncé was present too. The fight occurred in an elevator at New York Standard Hotel, May 5th, after the Met Gala. The three musicians were there for an after party. They all left the venue together but as the Daily Mail notes, Solange appeared visibly angry and Jay Z. Quote, shell shocked. But People reports the three did not leave the event together.

Beyoncé and Solange took one car, while J took another. An onlooker said Solange's face quote, told it all. But Beyoncé doesn't appear to be taking sides. She was snapped at the Brooklyn Nets game after the altercation with J. The three stars have yet to speak out on the incident, silent on social media, with representatives yet to respond, to any outlet's request of comment. So it's all still a mystery, there didn't seem to be any strife between the sisters, inside the MET Gala event, and everything appeared fine between the family a few weeks. Back at Coachella. What we do is that the standard hotel is investigating how the security footage got out.
