## Transcript

in August Vatican officials called threats from Isis on the pope nothing serious. but according to the commander of Vatican security that is no longer the case. [ UNKNOWN ] a Catholic news outlet says the inspector general of the police unit that protects Vatican City said. The threat exists, but he added that right now his department doesn't know of any plan for an attack. That's a subtle but serious difference. A few months ago the Pontiff traveled to Albania with no added security after an ISIS threat and rode around. Around in an open top vehicle. Pope Francis has spoken out against the terror group many times since last year.

Calling on Muslim leaders to condemn ISIS and okaying the use of military force to stop the group. In Isis's last video the terror group beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians. Isis also explicitly mentioned coming after Christians in Italy next and boasted of its location quote south of Rome in Libya > About 300 miles from the Italian main land. But according to the inspector general, the Pope has not been phased by the threats. The Holy Father does not intend to abandon the style of his pontificate. He has remained a priest who does not want to lose contact with his flock. Pope Francis' next trip outside of Italy will be the capitol of Bosnia this summer.
