[ MUSIC ] In your opinion, is it ever too late to follow your passion and go for a really big career change? You know, I don't think so. I think it's really a matter of an individual's energy and enthusiasm but it takes a couple of steps to really make sure You know, I've spent a lot time, and one of the books I wrote was What's Next? Follow Your Passion and Find Your Dream Job. And one of the key things is, everyone I interviewed said they work harder than they ever did before, but they wish they had done it sooner. There was a common spine of steps that they each took. They didn't make an irrational They took their time and they researched.

It often takes three to five years to really be able to make a transition to a new career. So, in that period of time, start adding those skills one at a time. You don't have to go sign up for a Master's program. Let's start with one course and gradually add up to what you need to do. I always suggest, please go volunteer or moon like do the job first. Because you might find that it's not so dreamy and it really isn't your passion when you're actually doing the job. Another piece is get financially fit. Debt is a dream killer and so the very biggest stumbling block is money. And if you can somehow get yourself in its shape Financially.

Maybe it's downsizing what have you. So that you can make this shift. One, maybe you have pay for your education to add those skills. But two, you may have to start over at a lower salary than where you were before. And you need to be prepared for set backs. So I always tell people, have people on your team. They don't have to believe in your dream. Necessarily but they need to support you and believe in you because not every ship is gonna be smooth and everything is gonna go beautifully but those are the basic steps, and really give yourself time to let your business develop.
