## Transcript

You just launched a scholarship fund for graduate students at the Bander School at Syracuse. Can you talk a little bit more about that? Yes, I mean, I come from a long line of music educators and was really blessed to get the opportunity to study in the states on a full scholarship at Berkeley College of Music. And I just I've always wanted to give back to music education because that's what's given me everything. So when this opportunity came up to work with Syracuse to set up a scholarship, I was immediately on board. M manager, lawyer, and are all from that program, and have really given me everything.

So I was really happy to give back in some way the scholarships for international students and those with financial need. And the opportunity I got to come to study in the states was such a big one, and is, you know, directly, one of the reasons why I've been able to have a career today, so I really hope that I can do that for other international students. So that's kind of. No, that's amazing. And I know you have a book club. What is on your nightstaner? What are you reading right now? I'm currently reading Wothering Heights, because I mean, because I heard they were doing the movie, and I was seeing lots of quotes from it, and I realized I've never read it.

And it's, and it's really beautiful. It was more readable than I thought, and more romantic than I thought like, the writing. I'll have to I think that's one of those books I lied about reading in high school for class. No, 'cause it is one of those books that you lie about reading. And I probably lied about reading it, and I realized that I actually haven't read it, so, but, yeah, it's But this is your endorsement to read it. Yes. Yeah, I got it all my kindle. And it's good. And besides Wuthering Heights, is there anything else you've read this year that has especially moved you? Well, I read Hamnett this year by Magie Farrell, and I really love that, like, a strong, kind of female story.

And it is therefore the pick for my book club this month, but. And I know Kaya Gerber's here tonight. Maybe there'll be a book Book club collaboration in your future. A book club crossover. Yeah, I'll have to talk to her about that.
