>> Now you've been a lot more private about what's been going on in your life even as you were contemplating taking on a really tough senate race. Can you tell us a little bit about where things stand with you and how things are going?

>> Of course, well first it's my pleasure to be with such a terrific panel and I agree Laura's work is amazing and Elizabeth has been such an inspiration to all of us particularly those of us who are cancer survivors. I'm doing great. I'm so sorry I can't be there with you in person. I am coming to the end of my long battle with breast cancer but I still have radiation, which I'm going through and that occurs every single day so I need to be here right now. But I'm doing really well. I am one of the lucky ones. I have great prognosis and so I am now contemplating my future and exploring a run for the US Senate.

I'm very excited about the enthusiastic support that I am getting. And I guess what I would say in general is that while you never think it's going to be you, I mean, the day my doctor told me I had cancer. I found this myself interestingly two weeks after a clear mammogram, so ladies, self- examination is really important and check under your arms. You never think it's going to be you when someone says you have cancer, it's a terrifying moment. And the journey through cancer, through chemotherapy, through surgery, through radiation is difficult, very difficult. And yet, there are incredible blessings that come along the way, they truly are.

The blessing of time to consider all the reasons you are so fortunate. I am fortunate. I'm fortunate to live near one of the greatest cancer centers in the world. I'm fortunate to have the incredible support of my family and friends. And it also gave me time to think about my future and one of the things that happens when you face your fears, whatever those fears are including the fear of dying is once you faced those fears and work through them, you can face your future where with renewed confidence and enthusiasm and that's how I feel right now. Have a challenge.
