## Transcript

This morning for the hard working men and women of AFSCME District Council 33. And for every resident and business in the city of Philadelphia that the work stoppage involving District Council 33 in the city of Philadelphia. It is over. It is true that we have reached a tentative agreement with District Council 33 on a new three year contract that, once approved by the union's membership, coupled with the one year contract extension we agreed to last November. It will increase District Council 33 members pay by 14% over my four years in office. One of the things we have been talking about through all of this is the need to restore a sense of trust in government.

We also know in District Council 33, President Bauer, respectfully, I know that we are going to need some healing time. You can't get through something as as intense as this and not have to go through healing time. But our city is here. I'm here. We're going to work in partnership with our district council, 33 men and women. Because that's the only way that we can realize what you all always hear me talk about. And what is that one? Philly, a united city. You can't do it unless we work during this time to make sure that we are healing wounds, and we want to do that.
