## Transcript

Comcast has announced a new Internet streaming service appropriately called, Stream, in an attempt to compete more closely with cord cutting companies like Netflix and Hulu. For $ 15 a month users will be able to download an app to watch both live and on- demand programming. Including HBO. And while this sounds like a great alternative for TV watchers, who are shifting away from cable packages, in favor of streaming service bundles, there are some limitations. Only 12 networks have signed up for the service so far. And ESPN isn't in that group. So sports fans craving live games might want to hit the breaks.

Stream users also wont be able to access the service from their televisions which is a feature that helped Netflix users watch a total of 12. 11 billion minutes of content in the fourth quarter of 2013 Comcast's new service is currently in beta testing, with an expected launch at the end of the summer in Boston. From there, it will become available in Chicago and Seattle. If this sounds like the answer to your prayers, don't get excited just yet. The service will only be available in areas covered by Comcast, which means that most of the western U. S ., aside from major cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles, will not have access to stream.
