## Transcript

My name is Amber Vinsbak and I am the co founder and president of LTK. The first time I heard the word creator economy was a decade into our business, and it was referring to LTK. First time I pitched my company to an investor, I had to sit and explain what bloggers did, that they were valuable and really who we were as a group of people making original content. The very first time I felt like we had made it was getting our very first brand client. I was upstairs at my dad's house working out of our old playroom as children, and I got on the phone with Shop Op, and I pitched them our business, and they said, yes, that they would be a part of it.

That was back in 2010. And when I came downstairs to tell my dad that they had said yes, I was broken out in hives everywhere because I was so nervous for the meeting, but it felt like that first yes was everything. They were all I needed. The first time that I heard one of our clients became a millionaire, I immediately called her, got on a plane to New York, and took her and her spouse to dinner. When we started LTK, I had put myself out of my business with my personal shopping business by starting a blog. My jewelry company was struggling, and I hadn't been getting paid for LTK. So the first time I got a real paycheck from LTK, I went straight to the leasing office and moved out of my dad's house.
