## Transcript

[ MUSIC ] So we're on the cusp of an epic blizzard here on the east coast of the United States, so it's a perfect day to have a four by four vehicle and in this case. We have a new Chevrolet Colorado which has just won some awards as a Truck of the Year and such. This is sort of a new category or reintroduction of a midsized pick up. This is the off road model, so you've got a nice clearance in the wheels. In fact in the back here it's so big. I can stick my head in it. Which makes this a good truck for in the city or for when you want to go four wheeling somewhere. For instance if you're up in the mountains outside of New York City and you can see it's pretty wild country out here.

It's snowing hard. We're gonna see what this truck can do. [ MUSIC ] So we just took this up hill and it was a piece of cake. I'm gonna try it going down hill. [ MUSIC ] We're in low, so, not to steep a grade. And not too much of a problem. Rather easy in fact. It's about seven or eight inches of snow here. So the Colorado gives you two engine choices. You can get a four cylinder. About 200 horsepower. Or this V6 which is 305 horses, now I'd probably opt for the bigger one. It accelerates nicely, it's not a jet, but it's not suppose to be. It also features variable valve transmission. I have to say that slowly otherwise I'll slur it.

What that means is that. Not all the valves are working, not all the cylinders are working at once. The engine will figure out what you need at a given time and this saves you gasoline. So there's plenty of engine for you, you can pull 7000 pounds with it. Colorado comes in a number of versions, this is a. Crew cab with a five foot two inch bed. You can get an extended crew cab, you can get a, a longer bed. Six foot two inch, five foot two inch. Pretty decent size, probably fills most needs. But if you have, oh say you're hauling a lot of long lumber, you'd probably want the longer version. This is a bed insert.

There are plenty of points where you can tie down things. [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] Let me talk about one nice feature about this, which is the information. System. Now I've been in a lot of cars where you just can't figure it out because it takes 76 different movements to get the radio on. Here everything is right up in front of you. Nav system, phone, audio. Because you have a satellite connection you get weather. You also have a wi- fi. System, and everything is in a touch. And if you wanna go to the Home, hit one button. If you want the radio on, one button. Everything is one touch. It's right in front of you.

Heating controls, air conditioning controls, there's nothing complex. You know, hats off to the GM for making an absolutely logical information and nav system. Why would you buy this over a full size truck? Well, it handles like a car, that's one of the reasons. We've tested the $ 64, 000 Sierra Denali. Now, that's quite a package. It had everything. It was a, a palace on wheels. This is much more of a value play at $ 34, 000, and it's a pretty good one. There's nothing super fancy about this, but it all works nicely. [ MUSIC ]
