## Transcript

Senator Rubio. [ CROSSTALK ] That Ted's campaign has. I ike Marco. Not gonna beat Hillary Clinton with someone who's willing to say or do anything to win an election. Going into Super Tuesday, both Cruz and Rubio have a game theory problem. They're both battling for second place behind Donald Trump, and each believes they would beat Trump in a one on one battle, but neither is going to get that chance until they vanquish the rest of their rivals. So Cruz and Rubio are spending a lot of time battling each other, instead of training their fire on Trump, who is poised to have a big day on March 1st.

Rubio has been attacking Cruz as something of a dirty trickster. Now it's every single day something comes out of the Cruz Campaign. That's deceptive and untrue. Which is a message designed to undercut Cruz's reputation as a pure conservative. Trusted is the slogan his campaign uses out on the road on his signs and on his placards. The second amendment is not about hunting. And the message is working. It's driven Cruz's negative approval ratings up, and yesterday it forced Cruz to fire his campaign's communications director for posting a video that had Inaccurate captioning suggesting Rubio had made negative comments about the bible.

I had made clear in this campaign, that we will conduct this campaign with the very highest standards of integrity. Meanwhile, Cruz is attacking Rubio, as insufficiently conservative. I'm Ted Cruz, and I approve This message. On immigration. On abortion and on a host of other policy matters. I didn't become a Conservative two years ago. Cruz is really sort of under the gun here because Super Tuesday was suppose to be his day. He was planning to run up the score in the southern states that make up the so- called SEC primary. Including his home state of Texas, which has the most delegates on March 1st.

Tennessee, Georgia, and some other southern states. [ NOISE ] Cruise is hoping that across the south where he's been organizing for months, he's spent more time there than any of his rivals. His organization is going to put him over the top. He's got plenty of money, he's, He's got plenty of manpower. This is really, sort of, his home turf. It's imperative for him to pull out a big day on Super Tuesday. [ SOUND ] [ MUSIC ] As for Rubio he doesn't need to win, he just needs to get second. He probably isn't going But he needs to be a close enough third and get enough, such that he can grab enough delegates to put him over the top.

One benefit that Rubio may have is that he was Jeb Bush's exit from the race. A lot of his top donors have begun to enlist to raise money for Rubio. Bush's supporters are also likely to migrate, at least in part, to Rubio USA! USA! Now, it seems quite likely that Trump, given back to back victories, is going to come out on top on March 1st, and that really undermines Cruz's path to the 1237 delegates that are required to win the Republican nomination. It's going to get nasty, even nastier, between the two freshman Senators. I'd like to thank you for everything you guys are doing. Thank you very much.
