## Transcript

>> Family Guy and Politically Incorrect, both on The Tonight Show at the same time. Oh boy, talk about not knowing what your guests are going to say next. Turns out, Seth MacFarlane and Bill Maher didn't have something special to say to outgoing host, Jay Leno. They had something to sing to it.

>> Thanks for the memory, the rivalry with Dave, the beating that you gave, you crushed him in the ratings and you'll take that to your grave.

>> The move was perhaps reminiscent of Bette Midlers' farewell performance to Johnny Carson in 1992. Though she sang of all the class Johnny showed, not the beating he gave. For his part, Leno agreed after the performance, MacFarlane and Maher's should think about forming their own Vegas Rat Pack. He also said, he thinks the reason Maher's been nominated for an Emmy 32 times and never won was exactly what Maher showed Wednesday night, a willingness to make bold statements, Leno said, some people don't want to hear. The Late Night legend is on his final countdown of shows. Leno steps down from The Tonight Show on February 6th.

For TIME, I'm Cliff Judy.
