191 votes what an exciting night it was, what an exciting race. As a lifelong politico and as I'm sure many other people who follow politics know there are rarely elections like this where you see the lead exchange hands so many times. And leave everybody watching it on pins and needles as they say. As to what the result will be. As you know, there are several thousand provisional ballots still out there, so the final number will change. It won't be 191 votes a week from now, the provisional ballots will be added to the total, those provisionals that count that way, so it is certainly possible that the result of the race could change.

But that's it, it is imperative that the Republican party not stand still for a week we must begin running the race that is before us. [ COUGH ] Unlike some states that have the luxury of five months to six months after the primary to run as to the general election, Kansas is not one of those states. We have only three months. [ COUGH ] And if we spend a week of that three months doing absolutely nothing, then we will have given our opponents a sizeable lead in the footrace that we have. So it is imperative that we begin running, understanding that this is a tentative victory. And that I am carrying the baton for this first week with the full knowledge that I may hand the baton to Jeff if the provisional ballots change the outcome.
