## Transcript

If you're in the tech industry, and you can honestly tell me you don't like CES the Consumer Electronics Show that kicks off the year in tech, each and every January in Las Vegas, Nevada covering 1. 5 million square feet of floor space, if you can honestly tell me you don't like that, I hope you run into the 14 year old version of yourself someday and that version of yourself kicks you in the neck. I love it. The industry only event brings in about 150, 000 socially awkward, myself included, reporters, analysts and exhibitors, all of whom are relatively indistinguishable from one another with the exception that analysts sometimes wear suits.

[ MUSIC ] Without even stepping on the show floor, I can tell you that these three things will probably draw the bulk of attention at CES this year, ultrabook, tv and tablets. Ultrabooks are basically thin and light laptops that offer fewer tradeoffs as far of computing power, battery length. As prices are concerned, you see the Macbook Air, you've basically seen an Ultrabook. This year. We'll see a whole bunch of Windows based models. We've already reviewed a few here on tech land. As far as TV we'll see a big infusion of web enabled TV products capable of displaying on screen widgets and information, streaming content from services like Netflix.

These products have existed in the past but we'll see an even bigger push this year. And if you think I'm not gonna check out the four millimeter thick TV you wrote up on Techvine the other day it's gonna be shown at CVS, you are crazy. I will be there, and I will touch it. Unless it says do not touch. Because I follow the rules. And finally tablets, whereas last year's CES was all about tablets, tablets, tablets, tablets, tablets, tablets will still have a big presence they will be looking for quality [ MUSIC ] Tablets, oh, it's undulating sea of lackluster offerings. [ SOUND ] Sad news to report, Consumer Electronic Show normally coincide with the Porn Convention in Las Vegas.

This year, the two shows do not line up. It will not be overrun with nerds and porn stars. Just nerds, which is probably for the best because its just kind of a sandwich so. It may look cool but its simple. I'm talking about tech. I'm not talking about porn. Satellite they live in California and they're naked. Sad life style. Tech not porn. Naked in the sun all day. Sad.
