## Transcript

I go right back to the beginning. I wanted to do romantic comedies and just be the girl, not the Spanish girl, or the Latina girl, I just wanted to be a person. I never let anybody kinda pigeonhole me or put me in a box, and like you can't do this or you can't do that. And every step of the way people try to do that to you Especially when you're a woman. My mom was a huge influence on me. She was tough, passionate, outgoing. She pushed me. She grew up in a time where women got married by the time they were 20 or they were losing their chance And by the time she was 26, she had 3 kids, and I think she just did not want that for us.

And it really led a path for me to think outside of the box and never limit myself. [ FOREIGN ] People don't realize I've been producing for about, my God, over ten years now. Starting off as an actress and entertainer in front of the camera and not being involved with all of the little decisions [ LAUGH ] was actually making me a little bit crazy. It's a hunger not from ambition of wanting more, it's an ambition of passion of doing what I love and seeing how many great things I can do with that passion. Can I do it? Or am I gonna fall flat on my face? Maybe. Okay. Next! What am I gonna do next?
