[ MUSIC ] Today, I'm going to talk about digit which is a new savings website that connects to your bank account and gradually moves over small increments of money into an FDIC- insured digit savings account. I've been using it for about a month now. And so far I have to say that I do like it. I've saved about $ 118 and I haven't even noticed the money really leaving my account. Over time, it analyzes your balance and your spending habits. So it pulls from your account about every two to three days. It'll never pull more than $ 50. And then it only communicates with you through text messages. At first I thought that would be kinda cumbersome but it's actually been really convenient.

Then you don't have to worry about it taking up any space on your phone and really once you log into it, you never really have to go to the website again cuz you We communicate directly through text messages. The one problem I have had with the app, is that so far in the month I've been using it, it had disconnected from my bank account twice. I'm not really sure why, now granted it is very easy to connect it again, but it ends up having a couple days where it's not saving Thing for me which is kind of a bummer. For millenials, I think that saving can be really tricky and it is nice to be able to put this on auto- pilot and not have to think about it.

But at the same time, there is always gonna be this reminder in the background that you need to do something with this money because it's being moved into An account that is not earning interest. You still have to think critically about what you're doing with that money cuz you don't want to leave it there for very long. So I think it kind of approaches the Millennial issue about saving but kind of only halfway. You still have to be sort of on your game when it comes to making. Make some smart financial decisions.
