[ MUSIC ] Dating app Hinge has announced it's moving into the toddler market for users between the ages of two and five. It's Hinge, the new app for playdating. Let me in on your thought process. How did you come up with. It's play dating. Well, we were looking at the market and realized like wow, you know, 97 % of people between the ages of two and five are single. In the new play dating feature, a user can login and find potential playmates matched through their mutual friends. So how do you know my friend Susie? She's in my baby yoga class. She's in my baby yoga class. I'll have the spaghetti bolognese.

At first, I thought this is a really bad idea. And, now I realize, it's the dumbest [ BLEEP ] thing we've ever done. Hinge makes it easier for toddlers meet naturally. I tried other apps but they're all randos. My mommy tells me not to talk to strangers. [ LAUGH ] Could I see your all's IDs please? I'm 5 years old. And I'm 4 years old. To understand their new demographic better, Hinge has even implemented a mandatory nap time. For all its employees. I left Morgan Stanley for this. Playdating's match algorithm uses elements similar to the original Hinge app. Mutual playmates, pre- school, and even what users want to be when they grow up.

Now, what is your experience been like on other apps? [ INAUDIBLE ] A lot of boys are immature. I went on a playdate with a boy who still lives with his mother. And what do you think of Hinge's new Playdate? People on Hinge are just cuter. I'm four and a half. I'm not getting any younger. What if you are on a playdate and the guy just won't get off his phone? How do you turn this on? What does Hinge mean to you? We're the dating app that's betting on the future and the future more than anything for me, means the children. [ MUSIC ] No, not him. No, not him. Oh, he's cute. Oh, he's cute. [ MUSIC ]
