[ MUSIC ] Notre Dame has a relatively small private Catholic school has a really strong tradition of the Notre Dame family, it's sort of a catchphrase that you hear walking around campus. But when you get here, you really believe it. You start to feel that sense of community. And that really does continue for the four years that students are here and beyond into their alumni status as well. Alumni was very helpful. Professors reached out to us. [ MUSIC ] And they told us, we will provide whatever resources you guys need. [ MUSIC ] We have the Fighting Irish Initiative. So, our kids from the lowest income not only get their financial aid met, but their other needs get met here.

There's a difference between being at a university And feeling like you belong at a university. And they told us we'll provide you with all these opportunities, we have resources for you guys. One student wanted to go to Rome, and they allowed him to go to Rome by like providing scholarship opportunities for him. [ MUSIC ] So, we're a top university academically But our focus is not just on making your mind smarter. We really work on your wisdom. Wisdom is that blend of intellect with a self- awareness, a sense for others, have a sense of purpose because we're a faith- based university, and specifically because we're Catholic.

We really believe that that's an important part of your development. You feel that sense of mission, you know. We talk to people across the university that will go to other parts of the world to try and give back yearly and it becomes a part of what we do. Whether it's the parish within South Ben or whether it's somewhere in Bangladesh, it really kind of sets apart to have That baseline of this is who we are, this is our identity, and to be proud of it. And I think that's what we have here. [ MUSIC ] There's so much more to Notre Dame than the athletic programs. [ MUSIC ]
