Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and he's an assassin during the Italian Renaissance. This is why we're here in the beautiful Tuscany countryside, and that because this is where the game is basically set. >> And it's pretty amazing 'cause you can see in the background that's got just beautiful landscapes and the fact that it looks just so like the game is pretty amazing and it really gives you an appreciation for what the development team was able to accomplish in the time that they've been putting into a mixed awesome game, the level of depth and attention to detail and just originally [ unk ] cost, and I think that's something that gamers are really gonna appreciate in the Assassin's Creed II. >> And we were here 2 years ago checking these things out, and the game is finished now. It's pretty amazing to see that we did a pretty good job. It's pretty close to the real thing and the colors are there, the feeling, its idea of being in Italy >> We're on Ponte Vecchio. It's called the Old Bridge. Vecchio means old in Italian. This is where the game starts, in sequence 1 when Ezio was really young, like 17 or so. This is where the game-- the first battle takes place when he says [ Foreign Language ]. -[ Foreign Language ] >> Here we are in the small streets of Florence. And it's a good example of buildings that we used to create, main buildings of our game, like the houses of Gio Vittore, Casa Palazzo Vittore or Casa di Cristina Vespucci. We see the two houses that are really an example of what we used to create, because those two houses are not historically accurate. But we've managed to take an example and make something unique for the game. Something that is quite unique to Florence is how every single rooftops continue a little bit inside the street. At first when we arrived here we said have to do it. We weren't sure because it's quite different and it's quite difficult when you do the climbing to get on the rooftop. And here we have Santa Croce. And this is where you assassinate your first target, you're the [ unk ]. >> This is the Giato de la Signoria and this is the Palazzo Vecchio, the symbol forts, and it's the seat of the government. In the game, the government are the bad guys, and they capture the family of Ezio and execute them. This is the Duomo, the great [ unk ] dome you see from any point in Florence and you also see in the game all the time. This is the main cathedral of Florence that was also the theater of this attack on the Medici. And this is also featured in the game.
