You'd be forgiven if you thought the sky was falling this month and you didn't even have to look out your window in order to find out. It was as simple as a glance at You tube. We heard rumors from scientists that an asteroid would be passing shockingly close to earth. And just hours before it was supposed to it seemed like it was coming true over Russia. In reality it was a meteorite causing quite a shock to an early morning crowd in the euro mountain. The giant space rock exploded upon entering the atmosphere, injuring more than 1500 people and raining down rock shards.

It's better than twisted metal, which is what happened when a helicopter fell out of the sky while filming a Top Gear episode During a race for the car show's South Korea version, a military helicopter racing against a corvette had just crossed the finish line when it started experiencing a mechanical failure and nosedived into the Arizona desert. To add insult to injury, the helicoper didn't even win the race against the car. If that's not stressful enough for you to watch on TV, try watching yourself Being labeled a criminal that was the basis for a cleaver add campaign for skin care company Nivea.

In a German airport they created fake newspapers, and t. v. Adds singling out one poor unsuspecting traveler labeling her as wanted by the police. Then, the crazy driver grabbed a nearby woman, Kai grabbed his hatchet and. Smash, smash. Smash! As fun as Kai's catch phrase is to say, it's far from the biggest viral trend of the month.

That's an honor reserved for the Harlem Shake. [ MUSIC ] The dance crew that stormed You tube this month. Taking a beat from a 2012 song, the videos follow the same scope. A single mass person who dances wildly around other people who aren't. And then when the song goes [ MUSIC ] Everything changes. Part of its allure is in its simplicity, so it's no surprise that it's been copied by everyone from wrestlers to animals at Seaworld. Only next month will tell if it's a trend that we can shake off.
