## Transcript

Governor Northman effective 3 o'clock today has proactively declared that a state of emergency exist for the Commonwealth of Virginia. In order to ensure that all the authorities, agencies personnel resources of the Commonwealth of Virginia can be brought to bear and support of preparations. For this weekend. The Governor's Declaration of Emergency empowers the mobilization of all State resources to include his role as Commander in Chief of the Virginia National Guard in activating them and they're represented here by General Ring, The Guard under the governor's orders is activating military police and troops who are specially trained to support law enforcement and they will operate under the supervision of Colonel [ UNKNOWN ] and the Virginia state police personnel within the unified command structure.
